Product information "ABC! WLED shield for 5V and 12V LED (universal, V63)"
(Shipping only to: DE, PL)
Description:
With this product, a WLED controller for addressable 5V and 12V LED strips can be built (e.g. SK6812, WS2812B, WS2811, WS2815 etc.), on which, for example, open source WLED software from Aircookie can run. An ESP8266 or ESP32 microcontroller board in D1 mini format is also required for this. A suitable housing is also available in our shop.In addition to ESP8266 and ESP32 microcontroller boards, this board can also be used with Lolin's mini boards with new microcontroller types such as ESP32-C3 mini, ESP32-S2 mini and ESP32-S3 mini. However, the WLED software is still highly experimental for these new types of microcontrollers.
This WLED controller board can be connected to 12V or 5V voltage source, depending on whether you want to operate 12V or 5V LED strips. No switching using jumpers etc. is necessary.
The GPIOs number to be set for the LED control in WLED SW are printed on the back side of this shield for ESP8266 and ESP32 microcontroller boards. For the newer controller types these are as follows:
- ESP32-C3: DAT is GPIO 6; CLK is GPIO 7; DAT2 is GPIO 2; CLK2 is GPIO 3
- ESP32-S2: DAT is GPIO 16; CLK is GPIO 18; DAT2 is GPIO 7; CLK2 is GPIO 9
- ESP32-S3: DAT is GPIO 16; CLK is GPIO18; DAT2 is GPIO 12; CLK2 is GPIO 13
